Newsletter

Dear Friends and Family:

I guess its time to give an official update on what has been happening in my life. God has been continually taking me out of my comfort zone. This winter was a big learning curve, but it was full of joy and excitement.

In November I went to Rwanda, Africa to help at a kids camp run by Limitless Ministries. It was an incredible experience. I taught swimming and help lead all kinds of activities with the kids. We spent some time after camp traveling to villages to run outreach programs with the kids. I also had the privilege of preaching at one of the local churches. In one of the villages a mother, who had her hands cut off with a machete, handed me her child to play with. I also played soccer with a boy named Samuel who only had one leg... He is destined to be a beggar unless he gets sponsored to go to school. It was in those moments that I realized how important it is for us to not only speak about Christ, but also live like Christ and reach out to the poor and broken.

After Rwanda I traveled through England visiting 24/7 prayer houses. Then I made my way through Scandinavia and Western Europe. In Switzerland I joined with Eternal Riders International to help at the Snowboard camp in Fiesch. It was a powerful time of ministry, many were saved and encouraged. Afterwards we traveled Switzerland and France showing a snowboard movie that presented the Gospel in french. I was very grateful to be able to travel and share Christ in many different cultures.

I returned to Canada in January and made my way back to Revelstoke, BC to continue Eternal Riders Ministry there. We helped at a couple different youth events in Saskatchewan and BC, and spent the rest of our time reaching out to people on the ski hill and in the community of Revelstoke.

This winter, Eternal Riders Canada officially partnered with Apostolic Youth Ministries International. We believe God has been leading us in this direction and will open many more doors to take the message of Christ to the sports riding culture of Canada.

All in all it was an unforgettable winter of growth and ministry. However, summer is almost here, I’m hanging up my ski’s and picking up my wakeboard! I’m leading Eternal Riders 6th annual Wakeboard Camp at Moose Lake, AB. God has touched many lives through the Wakeboard Camp. Last year I had the great privilege of baptizing two of our campers, and many made a first time decision to follow Christ. The camp is usually half Christian and half non-Christian with numbers up to 70 campers, which gives us a great opportunity to encourage and witness. After Wakeboard Camp I will be doing a few speaking engagements and leading a Street Invaders team (summer youth evangelism program) to skate parks around Alberta and Saskatchewan. Also, when I’m not traveling doing ministry I will be in Eston, Sk helping a friend pour concrete for the summer to help catch up on my expenses.

Thank you for all your prayer and support. The more busy I get with ministry the more I find the need for prayer and time with God.

A few specific prayer requests are that God will give me specific direction with Eternal Riders Canada, that He will strengthen and encourage me to walk in his ways, and that the Holy Spirit will be ever close to me through this summer season. Also pray that God will anoint my finances so that I can continue to do the things He has laid on my heart.

Blessings,

Dallas McLean

Pilgram

So much to say, yet so hard to describe.

I have been traveling for two months now, I have crossed eight countries and three continents. Where to begin. My journey began last spring when I was fire fighting in Sask. I felt God put a call on my heart to take some time to earnestly seek Him. I did not know what the exact purpose was, but I knew that I should spend some time visiting the 24/7 Prayer House in England.
Over the summer I began planning this journey and it grew. I ended up in Rwanda for three weeks with "Limitless Ministries" helping with Camp Gahini. That in itself was life changing. I made a short video you can check out on youtube, Its titled Camp Gahini 2010.
I then headed to Durham, England for a short weekend and onward to the 24/7 Boiler rooms. They were really good. I'm still processing my time there. I spent Christmas in Norway with Asbjorn and his family. It was truly a blessed time. Boxing day I headed via train to Switzerland to meet up with Eternal Riders Swiss and help with the Power Camp (www.eternalriders.com) Now I'm in Chamonix, France and headed to Paris tomorrow.

We have been doing some outreaches along the way. The Power Camp was amazing. Many people gave their lives to Christ. In Paris we will be doing a movie premier for the Movie "White Way".
So thats a brief update on my travels. As for my experiences. God has been showing me the value of Mercy and Grace. There is no room for Cheap grace. I have gained more Fear of the Lord. My faith has been taken to the max and beyond. Traveling alone is challenging. However, I have taken the heart of a pilgrim... God is my only rescue.
We often say clichés' like "God is my strength" "Our hope is in Him" We wrestle with living out these biblical truths. I have found that it is no longer a wrestle when your only hope of a place to sleep when it is -4 outside is God doing a miracle. God has kept me in place where my only hope is Him. I have been absolutely dependant on Him this whole journey. Simple things like getting on the right train or not missing the next train. Like having money for food or being able to find internet to reach the people you are staying with. All this with a 20kg ski bag that is ridiculously big. I love the look on peoples face when I open a door to a little coffee shop holding my huge ski bag, or when I can't miss a train that is crammed full of people. I adopt the Japanese method and push until I fit.

My prayer now... Is God, finish the good work you started. Do all you intend to do, I'm with you heart and soul!

Be Blessed my friends. Live life to the Fullest for our days are numbered.
